SEMH Science Teacher needed in Edenbridge Kent
Do you have a background in SEMH or SEBD Teaching? Are you a qualified Science Teacher? Have you had experience teaching students with challenging behaviour? Want to work in an SEBD/SEMH setting?
This specialist school based in Kent is looking for a Science Teacher who has experience working with challenging children and young people.
This School is an Independent Special School providing education for young people with Social Emotional and Mental health difficulties, including a diagnosis of an Autistic Spectrum Condition, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Pathological Demand Avoidance & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder during Secondary and Post 16 phases of education
This School believes that all young people should be provided with appropriate education in a safe, stable, containing learning environment.
The students are aged 13 to 18 and academically they range from mild learning difficulties to gifted and talented. They are given opportunities to succeed through the use of highly personalised individual education plans which are linked to the Care Pathway for their mental health problem. The Therapeutic Education Department works closely with the nurses, doctors and therapists at the centre and with a wide range of professionals in the community.
This role starts September 2021 and interviews will be held ASAP This is a full time/long term position and will lead to permanent if successful. Skills and experience required are as follows:
Mental Health experience
Excellent behaviour management
Current DBS on the update service
Working with primary or secondary
Full UK driving License
Available to interview ASAP
