SEN Teaching Assistant - East London

  • Are you a Teaching Assistant or have an interest in working with young people with special needs?
  • Are you a Psychology Graduate who wants to pursue a career in Child/Education Psychology?
  • Are you an aspiring Case Worker or Criminal Justice Worker, or an Aspiring Music or Art therapist? Have you been thinking about Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language Therapy?
  • Do you have prior experience of supporting students with Special Educational Need (SEN) requirements, physical needs, or disabilities?
  • Do you understand, value, and support safeguarding measures in schools?

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will gain solid experience working within the SEN sector and will be of great value to aspiring Forensic, Clinical or Education Psychologists, as well as aspiring Youth and Criminal Justice Officers, Social Workers and Therapists.

  • Have experience of working with children with SEN
  • Have a current up to date DBS (preferred on the update service
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks explained
  • Have excellent verbal and written skills
  • Have a calm, patient and positive approach to your work and the ability to communicate well on all levels
  • Be confident and have a can-do attitude
  • Be committed and enthusiastic towards all areas of school life, engaging and working in partnership with staff, parents and children alike
