Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary school. Not only will they be able to support the students, but also the teacher in daily tasks. This school based in Wellingborough has a small amount of SEN pupils mainly with Autism and complex learning needs. The position would need to be filled by someone who is kind and friendly, resilient and can take a challenge under their wing.

For this role experience is desirable but NOT ESSENTIAL Please apply if you are looking to pursue a career in the education sector.

What will the role entail?

  • Supporting students with their learning and development needs and supporting their social and emotional needs
  • Assisting the teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Problem solving issues

What are we looking for?

  • Understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN - specifically autism
  • Someone who is willing to learn and undertake training when necessary
  • An individual who is passionate, empathetic and patient

This school works with children at the age of 4-10 years old. They create their learning environment in smaller groups of children - this is to increase the opportunity of a tailored, more personalised approach. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
