**Teaching Assistant Role Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).**

Are you looking for a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs?

An SEN School in the New Forest/Southampton area are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2022. This is an excellent opportunity for both graduates looking to start a career in education, and for undergraduates looking for work on their placement year.

The school is a specialist Secondary school based in the New Forest area, catering for pupils with Special Education Needs, including:

-Severe and moderate learning difficulties
-Visual and hearing impairments
-Autism
-Speech, language and communication needs
-Medical and physical needs
-Anxiety
-Social and emotional needs

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside a class teacher to support with the learning. Class sizes are usually small, around 6-8 pupils, and you will be working both with small groups of children and on a 1-1 basis.

Experience in an SEN setting isn't required, however you should ideally have some form of experience either working in childcare, working with adults with additional needs, or have a relevant Degree subject (Psychology, Education studies, Social Sciences, Physical Education etc)

This is a full time role (schools hours) to start in September and will be on a temp-to-perm basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
