Haringey SEN specialist schools that my company Teaching Personnel  are working closely with are looking for SEN experienced Teaching assistants to trial/ interview asap and start in February 2023!

Job Role

• The job responsibility of an SEN teaching assistant would be working 1:1 with a student with complex ASD and SLD.
• Using non verbal forms of communication including visual aids/ Pecs/ Makaton
• keeping track of the students academic and social progress
• working in a team with the classroom teacher to teach objectives to the entire class and more.
• This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with SEN experience looking for long term work in September.
• Liaising with health professionals and with members of the senior leadership team and to implement interventions outlined in the students EHCP

• Experience working with individuals with additional needs, namely ASD, ADHD, Downs syndrome or SEMH
• Perfect for a new psychology graduate looking for a new career supporting children in education.
• Hard working, proactive and dedicated individual with a strong passion to support those with SEN.
• Has a child only DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for one.
• Is a current resident of the UK and has right to work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
