Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Specialist Provision within the area of Kettering who are currently recruiting for multiple SEN Teaching Assistant positions.
The school cater for pupils aged 5- 11 who have special educational needs including; MLD, ASC, physical disabilities, global delay, complex needs and those who may display challenging behaviours. Many children who attend this school struggle with their speech, language and communication, therefore, the school looks to cater for this need by using communicational aids such as PECS, Makaton and BSL.
The roles involve working within the classes to provide general and/or 1:1 support with pupils. As the school caters for such a broad range of needs, whether you have specialist skills/ knowledge or a variety of experience supporting children and/ young adults with additional needs – you may be suitable for the roles available! The Senior Leadership Team are open to consider applicants with a wealth of relevant experience however equally applicants who are new to working within specialist provision.
The school provides a happy, safe and caring environment for pupils and staff. With this is mind, they provide an inclusive curriculum which encourages each child to fulfil their potential as well as becoming independent learners. The school are looking for staff who can work full days (8.30am-3.30pm) on both a short-term basis and long-term basis. The part-time roles would be varied days (8.30-3.30/ 8.30-12.00/12.00-3.30).
To be successful, experience supporting children/ young adults with additional needs is essential. Ideally this would be an educational setting however the school are keen to consider individuals with experience in support work, care, residential, youth work, prisons, sports coaching etc! The school are open to various experience and try and recruit based on the unique skills a candidate can bring to the roles, giving their pupils exposure to new experiences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
