We are looking for tutors to work with pupils with additional needs not currently in a school.
The pupils have a diagnosis of some form of SEN. This can present in various forms with the most common being ASC and SEMH. These pupils are awaiting a place within a specialist provision and require tuition in the interim in order to provide education and maintain a level of routine ready for their re-entry into a school.
Your role as a SEN tutor would involve attending the pupil’s home/ community space, such as a library. Here you would deliver lessons you have created to support the young person you are working with often in core subjects such as Maths and English. Due to their additional needs, there could be also be elements of support required to assist with communication and emotional regulation.
Tuition requests are often for 2 hours per day, 5 days per week. You will have the option to increase these hours by taking on new pupils if you wish to do so.

Working hours are between Monday to Friday, 09:00 -16:00 approximately.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
