There is a special school based in the Teesside area that caters for children who are on the Autistic spectrum and have complex needs.
The Ideal candidate would be supporting children with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) and SEN and will be required to support individuals on a group and a 1:1 basis, assisting with classwork, behaviour management and helping pupils with their daily routine.
You will join a well-balanced team who are here to help and assist. It has a highly skilled and dedicated staff team who work together to ensure all pupils experience an exciting curriculum tailored to meet their individual needs. As a result, a safe, caring and supportive ethos enables them to be happy at school and achieve well in their learning.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience of supporting with autism
Happy to help with personal care
A calm and friendly person
Experience of behaviour that challenges
Trained in PECS or MAKATON would be useful

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
