Smile Education are a Crown Commercial Services (CCS) approved supplier; through this partnership we are seeking a strong SEND Teaching Assistant to join this friendly primary school based in north Birmingham.

We are delighted to be working alongside this thriving school in the recruitment of a SEND Teaching Assistant. The successful applicant will be joining the team from January 2023, this is a full-time role due to last until the end of the academic year. You will be supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis, working closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCo. The pupil is on the SEND Register with needs mainly based within the Autism spectrum, a full description of the pupil’s needs can be provided upon request. This is an ideal role for anyone who already has 6 months within a SEND role and is looking to develop their skills as a SEND educator.

This school is based within proximity to Castle Vale, Erdington, Washwood Heath, Ward End and Birmingham City Centre. Applicants will have the opportunity to meet our client prior to being appointed to the role. The expected salary range for this position is between £70 -£85 per day, dependent on experience level. To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification- for example, Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in School

• Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum

• Able and willing to travel to the Birmingham area
