Specialist Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a school in Barnoldswick to welcome a dynamic. Motivated educator who will hit the ground running.

Have you had experience of working with SEMH and SEN children, and would like to further develop those skills? We would like to hear from you if you have a passion for inspiring pupils with learning difficulties or with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

The provision caters for secondary aged pupils who display signs of challenging behaviour and high levels of disengagement. A large proportion of the children who attend have an EHCP in place. The school adopt an engaging curriculum that motivates the children to get involved – using outdoor provisions as a focus.

 To be considered for this role you will need:
- Experience working with young people with a range SEND including SEMH

- Excellent behaviour management with knowledge of de-escalation techniques.

- A positive attitude with a calm but firm approach.

- Flexibility to work with pupils of different ages and abilities.
