An independent co-educational day provision for pupils between the ages of 4 and 19, providing education for pupils who have an autistic spectrum disorder and related conditions including Social, emotional and mental health needs is currently recruiting a Band 5/6 Speech & Language Therapist to join our in-house Curriculum Access Team (CA Team) in Bramley.
Their multi-disciplinary team of professionals includes speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour support specialists and assistant psychologists. The successful candidate will be required to work between the hours of 8.15am to 4.15pm, Mon-Fri, term time plus four weeks during the school holidays.
Main responsibilities will involve:
Assessment and intervention planning
Group and individual therapy as required
Working within classes and providing consultative support as part of the multi-disciplinary team
Development and implementation of training for staff and other professionals
Report writing and record keeping
They are looking for a Speech & Language Therapist who is:
Highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
Has relevant experience of working with young people with special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, Asperger's syndrome and Social, emotional and mental health need is desirable
Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Is RCSLT and HCPC registered
Hold a Bachelors or Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
Professional Registration and DBS are required
