The Preston Secondary team at Teaching Personnel, support and provide temporary and permanent staff to schools throughout Darwen. If you are a student or graduate looking to work in schools local to you, then this is an excellent opportunity to work within a variety of mainstream secondary provisions. We have a range of work available, whether you are seeing a short-term placement or a fixed placement, we are able to help. Casual daily work as SEN Support is flexible and does not require full commitment; however, you would need to be available at short notice and able to travel to schools in your local area.

Particular role:

This Academy in particular are looking for ideally full-time additional learning support assistants. This school caters for pupils of secondary ages and has a high SEN intake, varying needs including ASC, SEMH and associated behaviours. The school are looking for individuals who is energetic and pro-active with a passion for support individuals with additional needs. You will be expected to provide general support and work collaboratively with other Learning Support Assistants and the class teachers. 

  • Roles in schools include: Varied small group and/or 1:1 SEN Support
  • Work to be booked around your availability - suitable for students/ graduates / aspiring teachers
  • Degrees highly sort after include: Education based (Health and Social etc.), Psychology and Sport

Experience is desirable but not essential, Teaching Personnel can offer you various training courses to build your knowledge and experience (behaviour management, safeguarding).
