A vibrant primary school located in Kirkby L32 are seeking to appoint a behaviour support assistant on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work within year 2, supporting a number of pupils who are struggling with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. The successful Support Assistant will work alongside classroom teachers and senior leaders to provide academic and pastoral support to individual pupils. The role will involve delivering programmes of work outside of the classroom and providing in class support to encourage positive behaviour and to raise self-esteem. Support will also be provided to students with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs to support their academic and personal welfare.

Due to the school’s location, it welcomes students from a variety of background and cultures making it an inclusive learning environment for all. The school is easily accessible from the town centre and surrounding areas and for those who drive; the school has a large car park accessible for all staff members.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
