Sunderland- SUPPORT ASSISTANT 

Teaching Personnel are seeking a welcoming and positive Support Assistant to work with Autism (ASC between the ages of 16-18 years old. We are looking for individuals who are available full-time to work on a shift work basis. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Be able to help pupils with their daily tasks and life skills
  • Assist with personal care 
  • Able to communicate effectively  
  • Ability to adhere to individual needs 
  • Flexible, reliable, and efficient 
  • Able to maintain positive relationship with pupils and staff 

Requirements: 

  • GCSE grade C or above English and Maths or equivalent 
  • Previous experience of working with students with ASC is desirable but not essential 
  • Good communication skills and well organized 
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues
