The specialist provision provides an alternative education for pupils ages 11-19 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). They provide well-resourced classes, a stimulating and purposeful environment and a whole school curriculum that meets individual need.

About the role

To support student development under the direction of the relevant leader by contributing to the students’ educational, social, and developmental curriculum and participating in its delivery. Offering feedback to students of progress and co-ordinating with outside agencies, head teachers, SENCOs, and parents.

Job Specification

• Assisting with assessing, planning, and reviewing student progress
• Attending appropriate in-service training as required by the job role.
• To undertake specific tasks with individuals or groups as directed by the line manager or other senior staff members.
• To follow and act upon Behaviour Management
• Always supporting the long term aims for student independence by encouraging the growth of these skills, but to nonetheless assist, when appropriate, with the physical.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
