We have an exciting teaching opportunity for qualified Teachers to start in September 2020 in an inspiring special needs school in Uxbridge.
Teachers are being shortlisted now for a full-time position starting in September 2020 in an amazing Special Needs School in Uxbridge, Hillingdon. Teacher will be expected to plan, teach and assess progress of a small class of up to 8 children diagnosed with autism, sensory needs and speech difficulties. The teaching role will involve working collaboratively with children, specialist teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to adapt learning based on each child’s learning ability.
The school are eager to appoint a Primary trained or experienced Teacher who could also teach Religious Education. Having experience teaching RE is ideal, however, Primary Teachers with a good understanding of planning RE lessons are welcome to apply.

Primary Teachers will be supported in class with up to 4 special needs teaching assistants who will work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils assisting with delivering learning programmes and creating resources. Alongside this, you will work alongside experienced SEN Teachers, therapists and specialists in the field to collaboratively and effectively support pupil progress.
Due to the varying needs of pupils it is important that Primary Teachers seeking to apply are aware and understanding of the needs SEN learners may present. Therefore, Primary Teachers applying must have relevant SEN experience and a good/outstanding record of teaching,
The school is based local to both Uxbridge and West Drayton Station with accessible tube/train links and buses across Hillingdon.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
