Secondary schools across Lancaster are in high demand for Teaching Assistants. They require support for their pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. Our highest demand currently is preparing for the return to school in September, but we are always looking for confident and inspiring individuals with a passion for supporting students.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with students, whilst supporting them in their development. You will have excellent communication skills, and have the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents/carers. You will have great timekeeping as well as organization, and you will plan and prepare interactive and engaging intervention sessions for 1:1s and small group sessions.
The ideal candidate will be available from September 2021, Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm, during term time. You will need to be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. You will also need to have a Child Workforce DBS (or be willing to apply for one), two references and the right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
