Teaching Personnel are working with a special needs school based in the Oxford area who are looking for a Teaching Asssitant full-time, Monday-Friday with working hours of 8:30am-3:30pm. This role is currently until October half-term, however, there is an opportunity for this to be extended. 

This school works with students between the age of 5-11 years old with a variety of SEN. This includes: ADHD, ASD, Asp, SEMH, PMLD and MLD. We are looking for an indiviual who is pateint, empathetic and passionate about supporting our SEN students, not only with their learning and development, but also their social, emotional and mental well-being. The school are committed to providing their pupils with a happy, nurturing and motivating atmosphere for them to enjoy their learning and where they are encouraged to reach their potential.

What does the role entail?

  • Assisting the teacher in delivering sessions
  • Supporting students with their learning
  • Problem solve day to day issues

What are we looking for in the candidate?

  • Experience working with SEN
  • Kind, empathetic, patient
  • Problem solving skills
