On of our partner secondary schools in the South Manchester area (close to Stretford) is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their support team following the October half term (from Monday 1st November). The successfully appointed Teaching Assistant is required on a full time basis until the end of the academic year (July 2022).
Fulfilling this Teaching Assistant role, the successful individual should have experience within a secondary school ideally or be familiar with supporting 11- to 16-year-olds. If you have Team Teach training this would be highly desirable – please highlight this on your application.
Any experience of working with looked after children is also highly desirable but not essential.
The role will involve building relationships with young people who are disengaged with school life and find structured education challenging.

The school is diverse in regards the students who attend with a highly experienced and very encouraging support team. The support team is made up of the school SENCO, Assistant SENCO, Hub Lead, Inclusion Manager and a number of Teaching Assistants that support in a variety of capacities. As a result, the successful teaching assistant will benefit from working within a supportive team and gaining further experience from collaborating with like minded teaching assistants.
