Teaching Personnel are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist alternative provision in Yeovil.

You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a 12 year old student who is learning at KS1 Level!

This small and friendly SEN school caters for secondary aged, female students, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

The school is renowned for the inclusive education it offers to all pupils, no matter their ability, expecting all students to make progress. It provides the support and structures in which pupils are able to do so, and as a SEN TA you will be assisting in this.

THE IDEAL SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT:

You will have experience supporting KS1 curriculum and feel confident to deliver phonics. As the school cater for secondary students, they will be drawing on your expertise to ensure the student recieves the best possible support. 

It is not essential you have SEMH experience but a background in managing challenging behaviour would be beneficial.

  • Be able to work well in a team
  • Be proactive in meeting student's needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
