A well-regarded secondary school in the York area is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their support team at the beginning of the new academic year in September 2022. The successfully appointed Teaching Assistant is required on a full-time basis starting with the school from Monday 5th September and taking up the position until the end of the academic year in July 2023. This Teaching Assistant is required to work in mainstream classes supporting students where required. This will be supporting in a range of classes including Maths, English, PE, History and Geography across the age and ability range. The students that require support have already been identified allowing the successful Teaching Assistant to build a relationship with specific students working with them closely in their classes.
If you have any experience of working with young people aged 11 – 16 in any capacity then please apply now as previous experience in this area is highly desirable. This could be in a school environment, youth worker setting or in a care capacity. As this is a general teaching assistant role, any graduates with experience of working with young people are encouraged to apply as well as any potential future teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
