A beautiful prep school in Crawley is working with Teaching Personnel to find a new permanant Individual needs assistant to work with a child in Year 1 that requires 1:1 support within the classroom. The school has extensive grounds and does forest school, they have a positive and vibrant school with friendly staff and extensive CPD training for their staff. The role is Monday - Friday 8.45 - 13.15pm so perfect if you have outside commitments. The child has an EHCP and requires help with managing his challenging behaviour and access the curriculum. Experience of working within a school supporting a child with SEN needs is essential. A level 3 qualification or equivilent experience is needed.

The school is based just outside of Crawley and has an extremely friendly staff. 

The school are looking to take the right candidate onto contract after a trial period with review.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with young children with additional needs.
  • SEN knowledge, specifically ADHD and ASC are essential.
  • A child only enhanced DBS (or willing to get one).
  • a positive and calm nature with strong behavioural control.
