A client school in Cardiff are looking for a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant to join their expanding school. The school supports learners aged 4-11, with a range of different additional needs but primarily Autism and Speech and Communication needs. The school are looking for a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant that is proactive and keen to develop their skills within the education sector.

The Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant Requires:

Trainee SEN Teaching Assistants will be offered training and support throughout the role by the staff team. Day-to-day, the SEN Teaching Assistant will be help learners with learning, socialisation, and development. Staff must be happy supporting learners with personal care and managing and reducing challenging behaviour.

Working with Teaching Personnel the successful applicant is entitled to:

  • £10.77 per hour (scope to increase)

  • Dedicated consultant to help you throughout the application process.

The school would be interesting in having someone with experience supporting additional needs, whether this be working or personal. They require someone who can adapt their care to support each learner and someone who can bond effectively with students. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
