Do you have experience of working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH) between the ages of 4-11?
Are you confident in dealing with challenging behaviours?
Teaching Personnel are looking for a reliable tutor to work with students in Sunderland. We are looking for someone who is flexible and available full time (8:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday).
The right candidate will have experience in teaching in 1:1 settings and in small groups for disengaged pupils. You will also have knowledge of the GCSE curriculum, however some children will be working at lower levels.
Due to the nature of the provision children may display challenging behaviours, therefore holding a Team Teach qualification will be desirable, yet not essential.
You must have access to your own vehicle as you will be expected to travel across the Sunderland.
You could earn between £20 to £30 per hour depending on experience, this can be negotiated for long term roles.
Regardless of your availability, we would like to hear from you as we have both part time and full-time hours available, as we work with several schools across the local authority so many opportunities are available.
If you are interested in finding more about this role, or any others, please do not hesitate to get in touch for a chat.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training.
