Year 2 Teacher
A primary school in Clitheroe (BB7) are looking for a Year 2 Teacher to fulfil a full-time role. The role is to start in April 2021 and currently to run until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of continuing into the next academic year. Within this East Lancashire school, there are a few staffing changes anticipated in the Summer term, including a scheduled secondment for a member of SLT.
The Head Teacher is looking for a primary practitioner who is energetic and committed. Considering the announcement that the KS1 SATs will not be taking place this academic year, this will not impact this role too much as the Head Teacher is looking for someone who has SATs experience in order to prepare the children to move into the juniors in September 2021. It is very important that the successful candidate can accurately monitor and assess the progress of each child for the Spring and Summer term.
Behaviour across the school is generally good, as is attainment with pupils demonstrating good progress across both KS1 and KS2. The Head Teacher, with who I have had close contact is friendly, reasonable, and willing to consider experienced, recently qualified teachers and newly qualified teachers in order to appoint the right person.

The successful candidate will be welcomed by a friendly team of staff who are more than happy to help any new practitioner settle into the school. You would also be assisted by a full-time teaching assistant who is familiar with the structure of the school day and other relevant policies.
