A supportive catholic school based on the outskirts of Preston are seeking to appoint a Year 3 teacher to work full time until Easter 2022 with the potential to extend beyond this date. The school are very supportive of staff and will offer CPD opportunities for the successful candidate. The school is currently judged as outstanding and has high expectations of staff and pupils.

The Year 3 class is below average for pupils accessing additional funding, SEN and EAL. There is an expectation of stretch and challenge within the class. Behaviour in the class is good but without the appropriate challenge the pupils can start to demonstrate challenging behaviour. The appointed person is expected to plan work that provides a fun and engaging learning environment. Work is to be marked in line with the school marking policy.

The school is located on the outskirts of Preston and is close to the Motorway it is accessible via public transport and has parking available for staff. It is an average sized school with a majority middle class catchment area.
