Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year Two pupil with additional learning needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, particularly in a one-to-one capacity, and will be committed to helping the pupil achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support for a Year Two pupil, tailoring learning activities to meet their specific needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Implement personalised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to suit the pupil's requirements.
  • Monitor the pupil's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Encourage social interaction and support the pupil's emotional and social development.
  • Assist with classroom management and general administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably with one-to-one support experience.
  • A good understanding of child development and learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent).
