A specialist SEN provision in Bolton is searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic 1-to-1 Autism Support Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a 1-to-1 Autism Support Assistant, you’ll form a close, supportive bond with a student, working alongside skilled teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a tailored learning experience. Your role will be pivotal in keeping the student engaged, adapting activities to their specific needs, and ensuring they thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Personalised Student Support: Provide dedicated, 1-to-1 assistance to a student with Autism, helping them with both academic tasks and social development.
  • Tailoring Learning: Implement and adapt personalized learning plans that cater to the individual needs of your assigned student, ensuring they have the best chance to succeed.
  • Supporting Daily Life: Offer compassionate assistance with daily activities and personal care as needed, making a significant impact on your student’s day-to-day experience.
  • Collaborative Contribution: Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure your student feels included and supported in all aspects of school life.

What We're Looking For: While previous experience in a specialist school setting is a plus, we’re primarily looking for someone with passion, patience, and a strong commitment to making a difference in the life of a student with special educational needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant references and a DBS certificate (or eligibility to apply).
  • Availability: Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
