1:1 Support Worker

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young children? We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Support Worker to join our team at a Primary SEMH Provision, supporting pupils aged 5-11 who display challenging behaviours. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing yet structured environment.

  • Role: 1:1 Support Worker
  • Location: Primary SEMH Provision (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
  • Age Group: 5-11 years old
  • Start Date: ASAP (trial day required)
  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
  • Rate of Pay: £12.90 per hour
  • Provide personalised 1:1 support to pupils with challenging behaviours.
  • Help pupils develop coping strategies and positive behavioural patterns.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Adapt your approach to meet each child's individual needs.
  • Be a role model for positive behaviour, providing emotional and social support.
  • Previous experience working with children in an SEMH or similar setting is preferred.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Strong communication skills to build trust with pupils and collaborate with colleagues.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
