About the Role:

Teaching Personnel, the UK's leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support students in the Wirral area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with additional learning needs by providing tailored, one-on-one support within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to a student with specific learning needs.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the student's academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet the student’s needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, especially in a 1:1 capacity, is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to implement effective support strategies.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
