We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a child in a primary school in Nottingham. This full-time role starts in September and offers a rewarding opportunity to help a student achieve their full potential.

  • Salary: £83.85 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to a student with specific educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised learning plans.
  • Use positive behavior management strategies to support the student’s social and emotional development.
  • Monitor the student’s progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages the student’s independence and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a 1:1 role.
  • Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and experience with individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
