Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wirral, UK

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a team in the Wirral and provide essential support to primary-aged students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues. In this role, you will work closely with individual students and small groups, helping them to thrive in their educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN and SEMH, both individually and in small group settings.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalized learning plans, ensuring that the needs of each child are met.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Help to manage classroom behaviour and provide emotional support when needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN and SEMH.
  • A caring and empathetic nature with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for working with other staff members to meet the needs of each child.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the students and the school environment.
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
