Job Advertisement: Full-Time One-to-One Teaching Assistant (TA) – Cardiff

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Cardiff. This is a full-time position, offering a rewarding opportunity to support a child with additional learning needs and help them thrive in a nurturing educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to a pupil with additional needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and strategies.
  • Assist in classroom activities and adapt tasks to meet the pupil’s unique learning style and needs.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support the child in developing essential skills for independence and confidence.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a TA or in a similar role, ideally with SEN experience.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
