An Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in Reading is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Administration Officer to join their permanent staff team starting in September 2024. This full-time position requires a reliable individual who can commit to the fixed working hours of 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday, with no flexibility on hours. This school is offering a competitive salary, negotiable, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the school’s front office, including answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and handling inquiries.
  • Providing administrative support to the headteacher, senior leadership team, and teaching staff.
  • Maintaining accurate student records, attendance registers, and other school documentation.
  • Coordinating meetings, preparing correspondence, and managing school communications.
  • Assisting with the administration of school events, trips, and activities.
  • Managing and ordering office supplies and maintaining an organized office environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and school management software.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be approachable, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
