Salary: £13.67 – £15.27 per hour (Equivalent to £25,048.91 - £27,980.75 actual pro-rata salary)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior School Administrator & Exams Officer in a specialist education setting in Stoke-on-Trent. This role will involve managing the day-to-day administration of the school and overseeing the smooth operation of internal and external examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the administration functions related to HR, training, and examination support.
  • Work collaboratively with internal staff and wider group functions (HR, Recruitment, Quality) to ensure effective school operations.
  • Maintain and update manual and computerised records, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist in the development of training programmes and manage the Moodle Training Matrix.
  • Support performance management reporting throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Organise interviews, meetings, and events, including taking minutes as required.
  • Provide support for the recruitment and onboarding processes of staff, including induction and training.
  • Manage the administration and preparation of internal and external exams, including liaising with exam boards, organising invigilation, and ensuring compliance with exam protocols.
  • Communicate exam information to staff, students, and parents, ensuring guidelines are followed.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo to arrange accommodations for students with specific needs.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Senior Administrative role within a school or busy office environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach, with the ability to collaborate and support colleagues as needed.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a busy, demanding environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) and the ability to use databases effectively.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (C grade or above) or equivalent.
