Job Opportunity: Administrative Assistant (Receptionist)
Location: Secondary School, Accrington
Position: Long-term Cover for Absence

We are seeking an organised and friendly Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Accrington. This is a long-term temporary position to cover a staff absence, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming students, parents, and visitors in a professional manner
  • Answering and directing phone calls and handling email enquiries
  • Providing general administrative support to school staff
  • Managing visitor sign-in and safeguarding procedures
  • Assisting with student attendance records and general office duties

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, approachable attitude with excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in a school environment or similar setting is an advantage, but not essential
  • Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
