After-School Club Teaching Assistant

Are you looking for an alternative Teaching Assistant role? Are you creative and willing to build relationships with children outside of their classroom environment?

We are seeking educators that can provide after-school club support in a school in Burnley

Part-Time Hours – (Monday to Friday)

Hours: 3pm – 6pm

Pay: £12.90 per hour

Location: Burnley

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities for children between EYFS and KS2.
  • Have a nurturing and calm approach in order to build relationships with children.
  • Communicate with families/carers to provide feedback about children.
  • Provide support to all children, including those with additional needs.
  • Provide support for children to complete homework and reading activities.
  • Work as a team with other after-school club Teaching Assistants.
  • Use good behaviour management strategies.
  • Help to create a safe, fun and inclusive environment, with play-based activities.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children.
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Excellent Safeguarding knowledge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
