After-School Club Teaching Assistant

Are you keen to provide engaging activities for children outside of the classroom? Can you build positive relationships with children and their families? 

If you are passionate about making a difference to children’s development and learning, this role may be for you!

  • Hours: Part-time 3pm - 6pm (Monday-Friday)
  • Pay: £12.90 - £13.50
  • Location:  Todmorden

Your responsibilities:

  • Create a stimulating and engaging environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other after-school club staff.
  • Commit to the wider life of the school and the community of the school.
  • Build positive relationships with the children.
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide support for homework and reading activities.
  • Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them in order to support their needs.

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a passion for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Enhanced DBS – assistance provided if required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
