Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? Do you want to work in a supportive and nurturing secondary school environment in Caerphilly? If so, we want to hear from you!

Location: Caerphilly
Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: £83.85 - £90 per day
Start Date: ASAP

This will involve supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and addressing behavioural difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, as well as providing 1-to-1 support for pupils who need assistance in these areas.

Teaching Personnel is partnering with a large secondary school in Caerphilly that is expanding its ALN team. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated ALN Teaching Assistant to join full-time, working closely with the ALN coordinator and teaching staff. This role is highly rewarding but also comes with its challenges. Whether you have professional experience or personal experience supporting children with ALN, we welcome empathetic candidates who are ready to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised learning activities for children with ALN.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with Autism, ADHD, and those facing social, emotional, or mental health challenges.
  • Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment where all children feel supported and valued.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with ALN, whether professionally or personally.
  • An Enhanced DBS check and registration with the EWC (Teaching Personnel can assist with these processes).
