Are you a passionate Art & Design teacher looking to spark creativity and inspire the next generation of artists? We're searching for a dynamic and enthusiastic educator to join a high-achieving secondary school in Wigan known for its commitment to excellence in both academic and creative subjects.


The Role:

  • Position: Art & Design Teacher
  • Location: Wigan
  • Start Date: November - July 
  • Contract: Fixted term contract (covering maternity)
  • Pay: £150 - £220

What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver engaging and innovative Art & Design lessons across a variety of mediums, from traditional painting and drawing to digital design and sculpture.
  • Encourage students to explore their creativity, express their individuality, and develop their artistic skills.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive classroom environment that inspires confidence and a love for the arts.
  • Play an active role in the school’s extra-curricular activities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, and community projects.

What We’re Looking For:
  • qualified and passionate Art & Design teacher with a strong creative vision (QTS/PCGE)
  • A teacher who thrives in a student-centred environment and can adapt their teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Someone with a passion for the arts, a commitment to excellence in education, and a desire to make a real impact.
  • DBS or willing to get one
