Teaching Personnel are working closely with a  secondary school in Fareham who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art & Design Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

As an Art & Design Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creativity and confidence of the students, delivering lessons that foster their artistic talents while encouraging their personal growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for both ECTs and experienced teachers, with fantastic support from Teaching Personnel, known for their outstanding reputation for training and developing colleagues.

 

Role Requirements:

  • Full-time position starting in September.
  • Plan, deliver, and mark art and design lessons that cater to students of varying abilities.
  • Foster a positive learning environment rooted in kindness, ambition, and diligence.
  • Engage students through creative lesson plans that inspire artistic expression and personal achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of the art and design curriculum.

 

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Art & Design.
  • Previous experience teaching art at secondary level.
  • Proven track record of planning and delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Suitable school-based references from recent employers.
  • Passion for promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art & Design lessons tailored to students of all abilities.
  • Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Ensure the classroom is a supportive and inclusive environment where creativity and expression are encouraged.
  • Set high expectations for students in line with the school's ethos of kindness, ambition, and diligence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in developing the curriculum and enhancing teaching practices.
  • Take part in school activities, open evenings, and parent consultations as required.
