Art Teacher – Rochdale Secondary School (ASAP Start, One-Year Contract)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher for a one-year position at a secondary school in Rochdale, with the potential for the role to become permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated educator to inspire students through engaging and imaginative art lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative Art lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work that foster creativity and self-expression.
  • Encourage students to explore various mediums, techniques, and styles in their artistic practice.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track academic development.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop their artistic skills and confidence.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by supporting extracurricular art clubs and activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Art.
  • Experience teaching Art at the secondary level, with a passion for developing students' artistic talents.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire creativity and enthusiasm in students of varying abilities.
  • Organised, flexible, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
