Position: Part-Time Art Teacher
Location: Bacup, Lancashire
Start Date: After October Half-Term
Contract: Part-Time (3 days per week)

We are seeking a passionate and creative Part-Time Art Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Bacup starting after the October half-term. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture the next generation of artists while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach art across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring creativity and expression through a range of artistic mediums.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to a variety of abilities and promote a love of art.
  • Encourage students to explore their artistic potential, guiding them in both practical skills and art theory.
  • Prepare students for GCSE art assessments, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to succeed.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular art activities and displays.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in Art or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching art in a secondary school setting, preferably up to GCSE level.
  • A strong passion for art and the ability to inspire creativity in students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage a diverse range of learners.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
