We have an excellent opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic Teacher of Art to join a friendly and forward-thinking team in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. This is an ideal position for either an experienced or early careers teacher who wishes to develop their practice in a supportive and innovative environment.  The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art to students aged 11-18, inspiring creativity and self-expression. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Art Teacher to be part of a supportive and thriving team.

The Art department is well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including dedicated art studios, kiln rooms, and digital art labs, allowing students to explore a wide range of mediums. Teachers within the department are encouraged to create stimulating and engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and talents of each student.

As an Art Teacher, you will have the opportunity to guide students through a rich curriculum that promotes creativity and critical thinking. The school actively supports extracurricular activities, with students regularly participating in exhibitions, national competitions, and local art projects. In addition, the Art department collaborates with other creative departments, ensuring a cross-disciplinary approach that broadens the students’ understanding of the arts.

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status and degree in specialist subject
• Experience of teaching at KS3 to KS4
• Evidence of securing high outcomes from students
• Ability to use IT to support effective teaching and learning
• Commitment to continuing professional development
• Effective form tutoring and committed to the importance of pastoral support

• Believe that students make the best progress when teaching is well planned and well delivered

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
