Salary: £20 - £25 Per hour

Skills: Experience working with SEN pupils

  • Provide art therapy sessions to SEN pupils
  • Assess and evaluate the needs of each individual and develop appropriate therapy plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the overall development of pupils
  • Maintain accurate records of sessions and progress made by pupils
  • Stay up-to-date with best practises and developments in art therapy
  • Recognised qualification in Art Therapy
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working with SEN pupils
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated success in working with SEN pupils
  • Strong understanding of art therapy techniques and their application
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy and patience when working with vulnerable individuals
  • Postgraduate qualification in Art Therapy
  • Training in specific therapeutic approaches such as Play Therapy
  • Part-time hours, with flexibility required to meet the needs of pupils
  • Work primarily within school settings
  • Potential travel to different locations within Surrey

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
