Are you a dedicated and compassionate professional with experience in supporting individuals with autism? We are currently seeking an Autism Tutor to provide specialized assistance to learners in Northamptonshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to the unique learning needs of individuals with autism.
  • Develop and implement personalized teaching strategies to enhance academic and social development.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's education.
  • Assess and monitor progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with individuals with autism.
  • Understanding of various teaching methodologies and strategies for supporting individuals with autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to tutoring.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the availability of students.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in special education, psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching individuals with autism.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
