Assistant Headteacher (SENCO) – Award-Winning SEN School Group

An esteemed SEN school group with an award-winning reputation seeks a dedicated Assistant Headteacher with SENCO responsibilities for their alternative site in Dorset. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and lead exceptional SEN provision in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the SENCO team, ensuring outstanding support and interventions.
  • Develop and implement SEN strategies and policies.
  • Oversee the assessment and monitoring of SEN students’ progress.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and external agencies to enhance student outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in SEN practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status and SENCO qualification.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within SEN education.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students alike.
