A large, high-achieving, and rapidly improving secondary school in Wimborne, Dorset is seeking an inspirational and dynamic Assistant Headteacher to join its senior leadership team from January 2025. Key Responsibilities:

*Assist the Headteacher and leadership team in delivering the school’s vision, values, and strategic goals.

*Lead on specific areas of whole-school development, such as teaching and learning, student welfare, or curriculum design.

*Drive improvements in teaching standards, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all students.

*Support staff development, performance management, and the continuous professional growth of teaching teams.

*Lead and manage a team of middle leaders, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.

*Promote a positive school culture that fosters high standards of behaviour, inclusion, and achievement.

*Work collaboratively with parents, governors, and the wider community to strengthen partnerships and engagement.

*Ensure the effective use of data to monitor progress, inform decision-making, and set high expectations for student outcomes.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

*Proven leadership experience at a senior or middle leadership level, ideally within a secondary school setting.

*A track record of driving school improvement and raising academic standards.

*A deep understanding of curriculum development, teaching and learning, and assessment.

*Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

*The ability to inspire, motivate, and lead others with a clear vision and strategic thinking.

*A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity in all aspects of school life.

*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background.
