A renowned secondary school in Keynsham, Bristol, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Assistant Principal of Maths to join their permanent staff team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the school's ongoing success and drive excellence in the Maths department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management of the Maths department.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning practices that raise standards and improve student outcomes.
  • Support the Principal and senior leadership team in driving school-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Mentor and support teachers within the department, promoting continuous professional development.
  • Use data effectively to inform decision-making and track student progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Extensive teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes in Maths.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
  • Experience in using data to drive improvements and monitor performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated senior leadership team.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to continuous professional development.
