Attendance Officer

Attendance Officer / Secondary School / Outstanding School / Lambeth 

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting schools? A secondary school in Lambeth is seeking an Attendance Officer to join the team as soon as possible. You will play a key role in maintaining student attendance and ensuring compliance with school policies.
The role is long-term and starts ASAP & Full-time.
It has the potential to go permanent for the correct candidate.

Role expectation:

• Monitor and record daily student attendance and punctuality.
• Communicate with parents, guardians, and external agencies regarding attendance issues.
• Work alongside pastoral staff to support students with low attendance.
• Keep accurate records and provide attendance reports to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with legal attendance requirements and school policies.
• Encourage positive attendance attitudes among students.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a school or administrative role is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and IT proficiency.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Right to work in the UK.
